☥ Trauma-Informed Care

KEMIA Bodywork sessions are trauma-informed and may support the release of trauma held in the body. While every effort is made to create a safe and supportive environment, it is important to recognize that temporary re-traumatization or a temporary healing crisis may naturally occur as part of the body’s process of release and integration. These responses are not unusual and can be a step in one’s healing journey.

Clients with ongoing psychiatric conditions, severe mental health needs, or requiring medical management are advised to seek appropriate care from licensed mental health or medical professionals, as such conditions are outside the scope of KEMIA Bodywork.

Clients remain fully responsible for their own healing process and are encouraged to seek additional professional support if needed. KEMIA Bodywork and its practitioners are not liable for how trauma-related material or healing crises arise, are experienced, or are integrated beyond the session space.

☥ Boundaries, Consent & Therapeutic Touch

KEMIA Bodywork sessions are strictly therapeutic and non-sexual. Certain modalities may include pelvic or genital touch, which is offered only within the context of holistic bodywork and physical therapy and always based on explicit discussion, informed consent, and mutual agreement.

All clients are required to review and sign an intake and consent form before receiving bodywork. This process ensures that boundaries are clear, touch is consensual, and the scope of practice is understood.

By signing the consent form and participating in services, clients acknowledge and accept the agreed therapeutic boundaries. Any experiences within the framework of this agreement are not grounds for allegations of misconduct.
